People Profiles
Every person who stays with or uses your operation gets a profile. Depending on your LodgeKit setup, that profile may be a guest, resident, camper, member, or customer. It stores contact details, booking or stay history, payment records, and any documents you upload. You can create people manually or automatically when you make a booking, stay, reservation, or tenancy with a new email address.
Creating a Person Record Manually
You can add a person ahead of time, before they have a booking, stay, reservation, or tenancy.
Go to Dashboard > Guests
Click Guests in the sidebar to see your people list. The label adapts across the app to match the accommodation you manage.
Click Add Guest
Click the Add Guest button in the top right corner to add a guest, resident, camper, member, or customer record.
Enter their details
Fill in the person's first name, last name, and email address. The email is required - it is used for invoices, the portal, and communications. Phone number and address are optional but recommended.
Add notes (optional)
Use the notes field to record anything useful about the person - dietary requirements, accessibility needs, preferences, or operational notes. These notes are private and only visible to your staff.
Save
Click Save. The person is now in your system and ready to be attached to a booking, stay, reservation, or tenancy.
Each person record must have a unique email address within your organisation. If you try to add a duplicate email, LodgeKit will let you know.
Creating a Person from a Booking, Stay, or Tenancy
When creating a new booking, stay, reservation, or tenancy, you can type a name that does not exist yet and LodgeKit will offer to create the person record inline. This is handy when you are taking details over the phone - you do not need to leave the form to set up the person first.
